The Zeta Iota Chapter of Sigma Kappa was established on November 19th, 1977 at Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University) in Elmhurst, Illinois. Sigma Kappa was the first social sorority to be founded at Elmhurst College. Our chapter focuses heavily on philanthropy work, and sisterhood. We pride ourselves in the four values that are shared in the bond of Sigma Kappa. In addition to the National Philanthropies and in honor of an alumnae sister, Zeta Iota also actively sponsors Eating Disorders Awareness Week. Zeta Iota also participates in Elmhurst College's Relay for Life to support cancer research.
Our commitment to community service and academic excellence has been recognized by civic leaders, the Elmhurst governing body, and the National Sigma Kappa Organization.
